Since we won't be able to gather for Maundy Thursday Communion,  we will celebrate a Love Feast. Our Board of Discipleship division on Worship has provided this alternative to communion specifically for use for people who are sheltering in place.

The Love Feast, or Agape Meal, is a Christian fellowship meal recalling the meals Jesus shared with disciples during his ministry and expressing the koinonia (community, sharing, fellowship) enjoyed by the family of Christ.

We will experience the Love Feast somewhat differently than normal, but these aren't normal times.  Our "table fellowship" will be replaced with a virtual fellowship!  

For Maundy Thursday, participants are invited to prepare ahead of time by having glasses of water or juice and sweet bread to share with others at their location.
